Candelaria Kier and C. Kier became insta-best-friends during an after-office party when she asked him, “Guess who I’ve seen naked?”and he got it on the first try. Once they got back stateside, it just made sense to launch an idea together, writing diverse erotic tales under strikingly similar names.

During a rather long stint as an expat, Candelaria Kier worked as a translator and technical writer before turning to more explicit tale-telling: “I prefer love stories, where ‘happily’ is not always what we’re after. Here, fantasies have preyed on the lonely for too long. What captivates me is the toll of making the wrong choice as a result. Especially with those you don’t expect: who don’t fit easily inside a rom-com, or don’t look the part.”

After spending the last decade in finance, traveling from the Americas to AsiaPac, C. Kier now writes dark, gay taboo erotica, MM and menage. “I write erotica stories based on unpredictability, where the lines are blurred, where touch and want are ends not means, where you might not recognize yourself when it’s over. Why else read them?”
